Julie Orpen
Julie produces Engravings and Lino prints in her garden studio at home, and her work is often inspired by the natural world around her. She aims to convey the movement in nature when she designs her work, as well as a sense of depth. Fascinated by the collective nouns for birds and animals, Julie has produced a number of prints with this as the theme.
After studying Graphic Design at Norwich School of Art, Julie became a member of Gainsborough’s House print workshop in Sudbury Suffolk.
Julie regularly exhibits in East Anglia, in galleries including the Aldeburgh Gallery, and the Quay gallery Snape Maltings, and has been selected for the Norwich Print Fair, Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA) at the Mall galleries, London, and was elected as a member of the Society of Wood Engravers in 2024
