David Robertson

David is an artist-printmaker, specialising in wood engraving and linocut. He is also a member of the Royal Society of Painter-printmakers, MAKE Southwest and is a QEST scholar. His prints are held in collections across the world, including the Ashmolean and the Royal Collections Trust at Windsor Castle.

David’s practice explores the interplay between landscape and memory, combining fine craftsmanship with a deeply personal sense of place. He scales mountains and walks in the UK’s National Parks, later capturing dramatic views in his prints. His current favourite walks are in Snowdonia and Dartmoor. A second arm of his practice is social comment, including a large-scale print installation, whose subject matter reveals the drive behind his walking: male mental health.
