Abigail Rorer
Abigail Rorer lives in Petersham, Massachusetts and received her BFA in printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design. She is a wood engraver, etcher, practitioner of the art of silverpoint, and the proprietor of The Lone Oak Press. In addition to black and white images many of her prints are multi-block color with hand coloring and reveal a passionate interest in the natural world. Her award-winning books and prints are seen in numerous exhibitions and collections across North America and the UK.
She has also done illustrations for various trade and scholarly publishers such as Norton, Houghton-Mifflin, California and Harvard University Presses; The Folio Society; and a number of private presses.
The Lone Oak Press was established in 1989 to publish limited edition, fine press books and broadsides printed with letterpress and illustrated with her own work.
