Amanda Taylor
Amanda has been printmaking for the last 20 years, specialising in wood engravings, collagraphs and reduction linocuts. She prints either on her press at home in Hackney or at the East London printmakers studio in Mile End. She studied Printmaking at the London College of Communication in 2001 and took up wood engraving in 2014 taught by Harry Brockway at West Dean College. She is inspired by the natural world, her love of Italy and animals in her work.
She has been teaching collagraphs at East London printmakers for the last 15 years and has taught in a medieval castle in Italy.
She has exhibited in a number of galleries around the country including the Bankside gallery, the Royal Academy Summer exhibition in 2023 and the Royal Academy of West England. She was elected a member of the Society of Wood Engravers in 2022.
