Former Chair of the Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of
Painter-Printmakers. Managing Director of a design and illustration company until retirement. Began wood engraving in 1991 and elected to SWE membership in 1998. Committee member and designer for the SWE 1998 – 2020. Publisher under the imprint Duet Books. Has wood engravings in the collections of the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean Museum, V&A Museum, British Library and the Heilongjiang Museum of Printmaking, China.
My engravings vary in style and subject. Multiple-block prints will include a variety of engraving styles within the overall image in the manner of collage; others use humour, often parodying other artist’s work; many are totally abstract.
