Chris Pig
Chris Pig has been an artist printmaker for over four decades. He studied his masters degree at Winchester School of Art in Barcelona. Returning to the UK he worked as a printmaking lecturer at City and Islington College before setting up his own studio El Cerdo Negro in Córdoba in Spain for seven years. He returned to London where he taught at East London Printmakers Printmakers for seven years, then he moved to Frome where he designed and built Black Pig Printmaking Studio in 2014 of which he is director to this day.
He has work in private and public collections throughout the world including the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, Guangdong Museum of Art, China, the Museum of Spanish Contemporary Printmaking, Douro Museum of Printmaking, Portugal, the Pallant House Gallery, Chichester, Aberystwyth University, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Museum in London.
He lives in Frome, Somerset, with his family.
